Morning in Charleston, WVOn my way to West Virginia for a few unplanned days before heading back to South Bend, IN to pick up Cheryl for our return home to Texas, I first crossed the Ohio into WV and then the Kanawha into Charleston. I had about 4 days to spend in WV and was hoping to see some leaves changing but I was about 2 weeks early except for the possibilities of maybe some of the higher elevations and a little farther up north. It was raining and almost dark when I arrived with some fog rolling in and so when I went to bed at the hotel I grabbed a Charleston "What to see and do" guide at the hotel check-in to see if there were a few places I could see in the morning before heading further into the state. The morning brought fog so thick I couldn't see my car in the parking lot from the hotel door, so I figured that was going to be a wash. But about 7 miles south of the hotel coming into downtown Charleston on the bridge over the Elk river, the fog suddenly all seemed to lift at once and the sun was shining through. With that weather encouragement, I decided to take about 2 1/2 hours and do a quick drive/walk-around Charleston to look for some photo opportunities. So join me for a quick couple of hours this Morning in Charleston, WV. Click on the photo link below to access "Morning in Charleston, WV". Thanks for watching!
