• The first event was our first sighting of Bluebirds at our house in Texas, along with a few of the other birds that frequent our bird bath outside the kitchen window.

• The second part of this photo story shows scenes from several bike rides I took in Michigan in July with an extended discussion of the Whitehall-Hesperia ride that took me from the small town of Whitehall where I grew up to the even smaller village of Hesperia, where my grandmother lived, and some of the sights and changes in that area.
